A few days after Motomission Million Dollar Ride would be the next installment in the Motomission adventures, Two The Mountains. This ride would be based out of Centennial, WY. On Sunday we loaded up and left Ridgway, CO to head North into Wyoming. We decided to stay in Laramie as the campground at Table In The Wilderness doesn’t allow dogs. This event does include your stay with shared cabins and also includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner!

Centennial is a 45 min ride from Laramie through downtown and across Hwy 130. Crossing Hwy 130 was interesting as it always had strong winds coming out of the North. I would do what I could and tuck on my Tenere to try and keep my profile small. But this is to be expected in “Windy Wyoming”.
Before the meet and greet on Monday I decided to go out and ride one of the tracks, Route 3 Fox Park Rd. Following the route start to finish the hardest part was the first few miles as it was rocky and loose. But just coming from riding in Colorado this was easy by that measure. Once you get a few miles in the ride gets super easy and is mainly dirt road with small pebble. There are sections that are really soft and other sections chopped up with washboard. I completed the Meet and Greet and headed back to Laramie to have dinner with the family.

Day 1 of the event I linked up with Brock and others for a casual ride which was nice as I was exhausted from all the travel and riding. We got some shots on one of the dirt roads, hit some rain, and made our way back to camp.

Day 2 I woke up still feeling gassed and decided I needed to sit one out. If you ride tired you’ll make mistakes and mistakes can get you hurt. Day 2 was also my 40th birthday so after getting some much needed extra sleep I headed out to ride a loop I made. I would start out on Eagle Rock and take Caretakers South. Then jump on 210 and head North a few miles to Headquarters Road and lastly take Blair Wallis North to jump back on I 80. This was a beautiful ride that had endless side quests you could branch off on. I took one and went to the top of this beautiful mountain with an overlook. The terrain was decently challenging going up and down the overlook spot. The rest of the ride was very soft fine sand with small pebble so attention was needed if you wanted to keep the front end planted.

Day 3 was filled with more awesome rides followed by MotoGames towards the end of the day. I was able to peel Brock away for some action shots on a road I scouted earlier. Wyoming provides some amazing backdrops for photos!

On the final day we ended with baptisms. Overnight the temps had dropped so it was in the 40’s in the am. It was brisk to say the least!

Two The Mountains was no exception to all other MotoMission events. It was filled with good times and good people. I would highly recommend joining one of these events and experiencing it for yourself!
